More than just Levin Sucks

I had a conversation with my wife over the weekend on the bigger picture related to the Levin Furniture Complaints.

It’s not Levin Furniture that sucks and has problems.  So far, I’ve heard storis from Best Buy, and Sears — as well as other Levin Furntiure complaints.

I was thinking of starting a new blog - where people can vent, and warn other people of businesses, especially service ones, that have horrible customers services, like Levin.  What do you think?   Wife even come up with a catchy name for it to…  Anyway — more to come on that this week.

These stores seem to think that individual people are just that — individuals.   That we will go away, and other people will come right in.  They seem to forget a basic notion — I don’t mean ” the customer is always right” - because we’re not always right — but we do deserve some respect and consideration.

What I am referring to is the notion that if you (Levin) provide me with great service, regrettably , I may only tell a few people, and usually only when the situation comes up.  However, when a person has a horrible experience, like I am with Levin Furntiure (or Best Buy, or Sears) I am going to go out of my way to tell as many people as possible - NOT TO SHOP THAT STORE.

So the lesson here, Levin Furniture - is simply to provide me with the service and merchanise I PAID FOR.  When you don’t — I’m going to get pissed.  And tell everyone how much Levin Furniture sucks.

I deal with 3 different Levins in Western PA and have seen only excellent customer service. While I feel your pain, (I have been in your shoes) the manufacturer of your furniture is probably in China or some other company overseas. Getting parts can be a lengthy and difficult process. Levin is hardly to blame for factory defects or missing parts. I agree that the service you described is horrible and would address that with the corporate headquarters rather than here, you may be suprised and actually get somewhere. I wouldn’t blame the whole organization on the actions of the management of one store. Just my thoughts, Good Luck!

You are probably right about the stuff being made overseas - I get that.
Although I do think Levin is the face of the product. I didn’t really buy from the manufacturer - I bought from Levin, so I feel they have some responsibility. It just annoys me that I couldn’t get a straight answer, or a - “we’re sorry.”
Maybe going higher up would have been a better plan.
    Thanks for your comments!
By the way — the replacement rail and slats are suppose to be delivered, finally, this Saturday!
